The Belgium international forward has found his place at Stamford Bridge under serious threat in recent months and has not been able to win the battle against the likes of Olivier Giroud, Tammy Abraham, and Timo Werner for a starting role under former Blues manager Frank Lampard and now Thomas Tuchel. His teammate and fellow attacking partner at Chelsea, Giroud, was said to be AC Milan’s number one target last summer and winter transfer windows but after failing to convince the Blues to let go of the France international striker, the former Arsenal man stayed back at Chelsea instead. Milan have now turned their attention to Giroud’s Chelsea teammate Batshuayi and they could be getting the transfer done this time around.

According to reports, the Rossoneri want to take Batshuayi on loan for next season but they want to include an option to sign him permanently in case he has an outstanding campaign at the San Siro. While there has not been any official bid for the player yet, Chelsea are reportedly willing to listen to offers for their striker. However, it is expected that no deal can be completed for him unless he returns from international duty with Belgium.

The main reason that could see Batshuayi seal the move to Italy could be the fact that he is interested in reviving his club career and he would also be keen to play more games and try to score a lot of goals so he can boost his chances of being selected for Belgium’s World Cup squad next year.
