Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappé is a center of huge attention at the moment and the reports making the rounds are that the final episode of the saga currently surrounding his future is that he will leave the French giants.

The former AS Monaco forward is said to be keen to join Real Madrid and that explains why he is still refusing to sign a new contract extension at the Parc des Princes even though they have offered him a new contract more than two times. The French Ligue 1 giants were keen to tie down Mbappé and strike partner Neymar to new contracts but while Neymar has committed his future to the club, Mbappé is still proving to be a hard nut to crack.

AC MILAN INTERESTED IN SIGNING CHELSEA STRIKER THIS SUMMER

Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi has emerged as a major transfer target for Italian Serie A giant AC Milan as the club look to bring in a forward to bolster their attacking ranks ahead of next season.

The Belgium international forward has found his place at Stamford Bridge under serious threat in recent months and has not been able to win the battle against the likes of Olivier Giroud, Tammy Abraham, and Timo Werner for a starting role under former Blues manager Frank Lampard and now Thomas Tuchel.His teammate and fellow attacking partner at Chelsea, Giroud, was said to be AC Milan’s number one target last summer and winter transfer windows but after failing to convince the Blues to let go of the France international striker, the former Arsenal man stayed back at Chelsea instead. Milan have now turned their attention to Giroud’s Chelsea teammate Batshuayi and they could be getting the transfer done this time around.

FULL DRAW FOR WOMEN’S 2023 WORLD CUP QUALIFIERS

The FIFA World Cup (Men’s Edition) is already highly anticipated as it will kick off in Qatar next year, but it’s not the only major FIFA tournament that is currently demanding preparations. The female footballers are also gearing up to represent their respective countries at their World Cup which will take place in 2023, a year after the Men’s Edition has been scheduled to kick off. The draw for the qualifying fixtures for the tournament has been made already and has also been officially announced.

The draw will see Northern Ireland and England face off in the group stages of the qualifiers, while current holders, the USA have already sealed automatic qualification for the tournament. England and Northern Ireland are both in Group D and both countries will start making preparations to lock horns against one another in the competition that is set to hold in New Zealand and Australia.

NEW SOUTH AFRICA MANAGER SET TO BE ANNOUNCED

South Africa’s men’s national team Bafana Bafana is yet to have a new manager, as the country’s football federation continue to delay the announcement of the new manager to oversee the national team side. The announcement of the new manager was originally set to be made on Saturday, but it has now been postponed following fears of the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, as confirmed by the South African Football Association.

Following the dismissal of their former manager, the search for a new candidate for the job began immediately. However, reports claim that the country’s football association has already identified the right man for the job but are still waiting for the most appropriate time to make the appointment and the official announcement.

GOOD NEWS FOR LIVERPOOL AS THE REDS RECEIVE WORLD CUP BOOST

With the 2022 FIFA World Cup approaching thick and fast, national teams have been working tediously and tenaciously to source for and call up players to link up with the side as they gear up preparations ahead of the tournament starting next year. Club teams also have a tough task to do as they intend to toughen their stance on keeping hold of their star players and stop them from leaving to link up with their respective national teams.

Although some national teams have started calling up players from their respective clubs, it is still going to be a battle between national teams and football clubs regarding whether or not a player would be allowed to honor the invitation of his country and link up with the national team.

QATAR SUCCESSFULLY HOSTS CLUB WORLD CUP

The recently concluded FIFA Club World Cup tournament in Qatar proved to be hugely successfuland this is a good development as the tournament was seen as a dress rehearsal for the main tournament,World Cup 2022 tournament in Qatar. Stringent health and safety protocols were successfulimplemented at the 17th edition of the FIFA Club World Cup tournament earlier this month to suggest that Qatar is ready to host World Cup 2022.


At the end of the FIFA Club World Cup tournament in Qatar last week, Bayern Munich had won a sixth title in less than nine months. Bayern Munich won the tournament by beating Tigres UNAL of Mexico in the final. Bayern Munich scored just one goal but it was enough to hand them the Club World Cup title at the expense of their Mexican opponents.
